A highly regarded, large national law firm with three offices across New Zealand is looking for an experienced Associate or recently promoted Senior Associate to join the team. This practice is one of the busier ones in the Auckland region and thrives on delivering creative solutions to complex problems. The Firm has a reputation of high performance, growth, career progression and delivering for their clients. They have a robust graduate program that encourages young lawyers' careers and the Firm's seniors to mentor them. Their ED&I initiatives have earned a rainbow tick and their workplace flexibility and work from home policies are among the best in the market.
The role will be supported by two approachable Partners, one of which features in the Legal 500 as an expert in the field, and the other one to watch. You will enjoy a wide range of developments, subdivisions, infrastructure and more commercial property work including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating matters such as sales and purchases of business, shareholder agreements, leases, company restructuring and franchising. A large focus for this role however is on developments, and the Partner would like to consider candidates who already have expertise in this field. The work will be flowing, the files complex and the challenges rewarding.
To be considered for this role, we are encouraging expressions of interest from lawyers that closely match this criteria:
- 6 - 10 PQE, preferably in a Private Practice commercial property teams
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws, a New Zealand Practicing Certificate and strong academic transcripts
- Have technical expertise in developments, amongst other broader matters
- Enjoy mentoring and supervising juniors with an open and down to earth style
- Able to work autonomously but also review work
