A highly regarded, national second-tier law firm with an office in Auckland and Christchurch is looking for a junior Solicitor to join the team. The Firm has a reputation of high performance with a grounded approach, fostering growth, career progression and good work. They are well-established and are recognised as a superior provider of banking and finances services law to a variety of companies, multinationals, entrepreneurs, and business individuals. They have a modern team culture that genuinely encourages having a life outside of work. They offer flexible working conditions and actively foster a collaborative and social environment, with support from partners, other associates, and experienced secretarial and trust accounting staff.
They are looking for a junior Solicitor with strong technical skills, initiative and detail orientation who enjoys advising clients on a range of cbanking and financial services legal matters. You will enjoy working at a junior level with a reasonable amount of support and autonomy, thrive on client contact and benefit from being well supported by your supervising Partner and associated senior lawyers. The role will advise on a wide variety of legal matters.
To be considered for this role, we are encouraging expressions of interest from lawyers that closely match this criteria:
- 1 - 3 PQE, preferably in a Private Practice commercial teams
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws, a New Zealand Practicing Certificate and strong academic transcripts
- Have technical expertise or a passion for banking and finance law
- Able to work independently and demonstrate sound judgement and problem solving skills
