A large national law firm with four offices acrossNew Zealand seeks a talented Associate to join the team. This practice is one of the busier ones in the Auckland region and is lead by two Partners, one of which features in the Legal 500. The Firm has a reputation of high performance, career progression and delivering for their clients. They have a robust graduate program that encourages young lawyers' careers and the Firm's seniors to mentor them.
The role will be supported by an approachable Partner and you will enjoy a wide range of commercial and property work including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating matters such as sales and purchases of business, shareholder agreements, company restructuring, franchising, and subdivision work. A large focus for this role however is on commercial leasing, and the Partner would like to consider candidates who already have expertise in this field. The work will be flowing, the files complex and the challenges rewarding.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates that closely match this criteria:
- 5-8 PQE, preferably in a Private Practice commercial property team
- Hold a Bachelor of Laws, a New Zealand Practicing Certificate and strong academic transcripts
- Have technical expertise in commercial leasing, amongst other broader matters
- Enjoy mentoring and supervising juniors
